Atlas Copco Tools and Assembly Systems is seeking an elite Assembly Automation Sales Specialist candidate who will contribute to an exciting, fun, and competitive atmosphere; providing industry-leading solutions to manufacturers in the Motor Vehicle Industry manufacturing sector.

Roles and responsibilities:

We are seeking an Assembly Automation Sales Specialist candidate to manage our United States territory and successfully drive high complexity solution sales. The successful candidate will lead with a consultative approach as a Subject Matter Expert to provide application & automation solutions specific to the needs of the customer resulting in a win/win partnership.

  • Acquire an excellent understanding of Atlas Copco Tools and Assembly Systems solution capabilities,

  • Work with sales to bring awareness of Atlas Copco capabilities to provide assembly solutions.

  • Ability to professionally present automation sales and turn-key capability materials.

  • Attitude and enthusiasm that presents a positive can do environment.

  • Interact with customers to identify key business drivers and decision makers.

  • Walk the assembly line with sales and identify application / automation solution opportunities.

  • Acquire competition information, and provide guidance to develop competitive solutions.

  • Ensure solution concepts meet customers needs or improve the production process.

  • Coach sales to develop ROI calculations and understand cap-ex decision making process.

  • Assist proposal development, ensuring solution offering aligns with customer values (VBF).

  • Market price, understand and develop competitive information to correctly price each opportunity.

  • Lead presentation material and help sales present to the customer in the best way.

  • Identify segment application assembly solutions for development and repetitive use.

  • Transfer knowledge with sales to improve subject matter competency.

  • Create a sound business plan and ongoing activity plan.

  • Lead sales initiatives and inspire our sales team to pursue high complexity solution sales.

  • Participate in Atlas Copco's agile automation team, leading our automation expansion efforts.

  • Support innovation and development concepts, by identifying new products.

  • Relentlessly pursue and win opportunities!

To succeed, you will need:

  • Minimum 3 years of selling machine or automated solutions.

  • Prefer a Bachelor's degree with concentration in engineering or business.

  • Ability to explain technical concepts regarding our solutions in an appropriate manner when solving customer challenges.

  • The candidate may live anywhere in the country and can work from a home office.

    • Position territory TBD - Southeast or West

  • Travel within the territory is expected and approximately 50% of travel should be expected.
