Responsibilities

Duties: The Guidance Controls Engineer at CNH Industrial America LLC in Oak Brook, Illinois will develop precision controls (auto-guidance) for Agriculture equipment and be responsible for developing control algorithms, simulation, implementation and tuning of vehicles to achieve the desired performance. Assisting with developing detailed product development and product launch pads. Evaluating and developing Guidance and Autonomous controls and Artificial Intelligence technologies for vehicles. Developing target technologies to ensure efficient and timely completion of specific project milestones. Interfacing with vehicle engineering, software engineering and other departments to facilitate a smooth product launch. Working with team members to resolve issues with existing product lines related to electrical-hydraulic system and guidance controls. Participating in design reviews, conducting design failure mode and effect analysis (DFMEA), and developing and managing validation plans. Providing team progress updates to direct manager or Competency Center managers as needed. Ensuring the use of engineering standards, methodologies and global product development processes into daily work. Telecommuting is available up to 3 days a week. Salary: $106,950 - $163,300/year.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: Requires a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field and two years of experience working with off road controls for engines, transmissions or hydraulics control. The two years of experience must include six months of experience with each of the following: 1) linear system dynamics including classical controls or state space; 2) non-linear controls; 3) Matlab, Simulink and Stateflow; and 4) designing and implementing algorithms.
